This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, when we share it, and the choices available to you.

1. Scope

Floris Laundry ("Floris Laundry", "we", "us", or "our") provides laundry, dry-cleaning, pickup, delivery, and related garment-care services in Dubai. This Privacy Policy applies when you use the Floris Laundry mobile application, our associated digital services, or contact our customer-support team.

By using the app, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy. Where consent is required by applicable law, we will request it before collecting or using the relevant information.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Contact information: your name, mobile number, email address, and preferred contact method.
  • Pickup and delivery information: address, building or unit details, selected branch or service area, map pin or location you choose to share, and pickup or delivery instructions.
  • Order information: selected services, item or garment details, special-care instructions, order history, charges, discounts, and transaction status.
  • Account information: login and profile details if you create or use an account.
  • Communications: messages, feedback, complaints, support requests, and other information you send to us.

Information collected automatically

When you use the app, our systems and service providers may receive limited technical information such as your IP address, device type, operating-system and app version, language, app interactions, crash reports, and diagnostic logs. We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the app.

Location information

If you choose to use a location feature and grant permission, the app may access approximate or precise location information to help identify a pickup or delivery address. Location is used for service fulfilment and is not used for advertising. You can control location access in your device settings and may enter an address manually where that option is available.

Payment information

If in-app or online payment is available, payments may be handled by a third-party payment provider. Floris Laundry may receive transaction confirmation, amount, payment method type, and limited billing information, but does not intentionally store complete payment-card numbers or security codes.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • create and manage your account, where applicable;
  • accept, schedule, process, collect, clean, and deliver your orders;
  • confirm addresses and coordinate pickups and deliveries;
  • send order updates, service messages, receipts, and customer-support responses;
  • process payments, refunds, discounts, and billing records;
  • maintain app reliability, prevent misuse or fraud, and protect users and our services;
  • analyse and improve app performance and the customer experience;
  • send promotions where you have consented or where permitted by law, with an option to opt out; and
  • meet legal, tax, accounting, safety, and regulatory obligations.

4. How we share information

We may share only the information reasonably necessary with:

  • Pickup, delivery, branch, and cleaning personnel who need order and address details to provide the requested service.
  • Service providers that support hosting, communications, maps and location features, notifications, analytics and diagnostics, customer support, security, or payment processing. They are expected to handle information for the contracted purpose and protect it appropriately.
  • Authorities or professional advisers when disclosure is required by law, legal process, safety, fraud prevention, or the protection of rights.
  • A successor organisation in connection with a merger, sale, restructuring, or transfer of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate safeguards and notice where required.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share personal or sensitive information for targeted advertising.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy. Retention depends on the type of information, whether your account remains active, the status of orders or disputes, and legal, tax, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, and regulatory requirements.

When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise it. Some records may be retained after an account-deletion request when required by law or needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Any retained information remains protected and is not used for unrelated purposes.

6. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect personal information. These measures may include access controls, secure transmission, restricted staff access, service-provider safeguards, monitoring, and data minimisation. No internet or storage system is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or request a copy of information you provided. You may also:

  • change app permissions through your device settings;
  • opt out of marketing messages using the unsubscribe method provided or by contacting us; and
  • update certain account and address details within the app, where available.

8. International processing

Some technology or service providers may process information outside the United Arab Emirates. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards intended to protect information in accordance with applicable data-protection law.

9. Children's privacy

The app is intended for adults arranging laundry and delivery services and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our app, services, technology, or legal obligations change. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
